Jo saw him the moment she walked up to the open-air bar, and she froze. Standing by Casey, her hand resting against his chest as she spoke, stood Sarah. Something broke inside of Jo. It wasnât her heart. Sheâd built too many barriers around it where Casey was concerned. Instead, it was this buildup of anger, this boiling cauldron of every pain and fear and the resulting fury that sheâd repressed over the last five years that had finally broken free. Anger at Jeffrey for destroying the safe life she had made for herself on the islands. Anger at herself for putting up with the way he had treated her when they were married. And a new anger, one directed at Casey for letting this woman touch him when, at least to the rest of the world, he was supposed to be loyal to her.
Before she knew it, she found herself across the room and pushing between the two of them. As Sarah protested with a shriek that could be heard from across the crowd, Jo turned to Casey.

Let him see how he liked it.
She pulled his face closer and before he could realize what she was going to do, she crushed his lips against hers. It wasnât a fun kiss or a friendly kiss. No. This was a kiss meant to conquer, and she poured into it every bit of frustration sheâd ever had while watching this man kiss another woman.
When he didnât pull back, she let go of his collar and wrapped her arms around his neck as she pressed her body even closer to his. Her breasts rubbed against his chest, and her nipples tightened to painful peaks. A heat sheâd forgotten existed lit down in the pit of her core and exploded outward until her whole body seemed on fire. Her lips parted against his, and it was only when his tongue swept inside, tangling with hers, that she discovered she wasnât the only one being drawn into this dance of need and want.
His hands clasp her bottom and lifted her, turning her until she found herself pressed against something hard and rough against her back. Her hands tangled in
